Billionaire Mentality
Billionaire Mentality
by Jeanna Gabellini
I know, for a fact, that you want to increase your wealth and relationship with money. You wouldn't have read Robert Kiyosaki's books or contacted me if that weren't true. So, here's the question: Are you ready to allow the constant flow of money and prosperity into your life? All it takes is a decision and belief.
Simple, huh?! Easy? Well, you'll have to let go of a great many beliefs that you currently hold onto for dear life. This will be very disruptive to your current sense of security. It will be like jumping out of an airplane. You have to trust that a parachute will open and allow you to drift safely as you enjoy the ride. Did that make your stomach drop? Your heart flutter? Uh-huh. You're getting a sense of this already.
Prosperity
Billionaires trust something that most others don't. There is an abundance of money and resources. A never-ending supply. There is a security and belief that all of their needs will be met. I'm not just talking money and doodads here. I'm talking about everything. Love, knowledge, space, energy, peace, fun, and more. Now all billionaires may not feel all of that, but that is true prosperity. That "knowing and trust" allows you to act more freely. You make decisions based on what you want, not what is possible. Billionaires know it's all possible.
That Lacking Feeling
At any point so far have you thought, "I don't need to be a billionaire" or "I can't imagine that! A millionaire is even beyond me" or "How would I get there?" or "I have to hurry up and do a bunch of stuff to get there"? If yes, then there's a lacking feeling somewhere inside your belief system. Lacking means not enough of something, to be deficient in something. I notice "lack" in clients when they think if they do ___________ they'll have to give up _________. Prosperity means trusting you can have the desired outcome without having to give up anything (except that nasty Gremlin who has you believing those limiting thoughts!). When we see things as black or white, we usually see things as either/or. When abundance is the primary thought, you can have it all. You won't be taking away from anyone else, either.
Lacking feels like a knot in your stomach or a squeezing feeling. fear, arghhh! I went to a beautiful restaurant for dinner Saturday night. The couple I was with kept making comments about the menu prices. It detracted from the beauty of the moment and anticipation of the meal. When you focus on price (lack), you start judging and justifying its worth. If you're in business for yourself, you'll notice the same thing happens when increasing your fee or coming up with prices. The question to be asking yourself is "What do I want?" and "What feels best?". If an expensive dinner freaks you out, don't do it. But notice what beliefs are making that decision for you. If you're focused on paying debt and cutting down on doodads, this decision is aligned with your strategy. But strategy will only get you so far if you have lack lurking behind the scenes.
I've coached folks who are millionaires, with no debt, and they still are plagued with the fear that someday their wealth will disappear. This has them making choices in their lives that aren't truly making them happy. Staying in careers that have them working 24/7. This is not the way life is designed to be. You can let go of the grip you have on what "security" means. You have the choice to go on the same way or uncover more of what's limiting you. As you get smarter, the lack mentality is very subtle but has a huge impact on your life. The "Billionaire Mentality" is available to you right now!
Are You Truly Ready for Prosperity?
Well, are you? Really? Okay. It's pretty simple, but it takes a commitment. You'll have bouts with fear, discomfort, bliss, worry, relief, and more. I co-facilitate a class called "The Prosperity Game." We watch folks who really like the idea of what we're teaching, but whose "gremlins" want to keep making this process hard. They want to figure out, control, push, worry, and get spun in their heads about how to get what they want. It's not fun. Then a few weeks into the class we start challenging them to let go of the past and do something from a place of abundance. When they try it, they see the results that prove this way of thinking works. Then they start practicing in bigger ways. Ah! More proof. Then they start trusting. Then they bliss out. It's not a dream. It's their new reality.
A Kick to Start You
1. Decide to focus on what you want, rather than what you don't want.
2. Ask yourself when making decisions, "If money wasn't an issue what would I do or how would I feel about this issue? If I knew my desire was possible what would I do next?"
3. Surround yourself with people, books, audio tapes, and information that supports you in this quest. This isn't the average man's way of thinking. Most people are hooked into struggle, limitations, and "somedays." Ask your coach or mentor to point out your blind spots in this area.
4. Start noticing who is making decisions for you. Is it your "gremlin" or is it the billionaire who trusts in his/her own brilliance and unlimited resources?
5. If you want this mentality now and you want to make it easy, do "The Prosperity Game." I say this because I know the power of it. It transformed my life more than anything else I've ever done. I say this from the bottom of my heart. I know what's possible for you. You know, too.
There is a way of thinking that some people practice. It's relaxing, fulfilling and great fun. Others watch and try hard to get the same results. They don't understand why it's not unfolding the same way for them. The missing piece is trust. Trust the process, yourself, others and abundance will abound.
